CommunityAmerica Pays $1 Million Dividend to Members

Special payments to depositors and borrowers top $10 million over past 11 years

Lenexa, Kan. (01/31/2007) -- CommunityAmerica Credit Union today paid an extraordinary dividend of more than $1 million to its member-owners. Individual payment amounts are based on the member's use of the credit union's products and services.

"The dividend is the unique, credit-union way of saying 'thank you' to all members who contributed to our mutual success in the past year," said Sean Yokley, vice president of corporate affairs for CommunityAmerica. "Unlike banks, which are owned by investors, credit unions are owned by members and operated for the benefit of those members."

The 2007 Owner Participation Dividend marks the 11th consecutive annual payout and brings the total bonus dividend paid in that period to more than $10 million, he said.

"For some 60 years, the credit union has been sharing its success with our members through Ownership Participation Dividend," Yokley said. "Our members choose CommunityAmerica because we offer them advantages that credit unions exclusively deliver, including our financial, service, social and values advantages."
